NJEIA Makes it Easy
NJEIA makes it possible for your municipality to add revenue without having to worry about the details of executing the elevator inspections. NJEIA is committed to providing timely and competent inspections of all elevator devices. NJEIA will witness acceptance tests and perform inspections on new and altered elevator devices, as well as perform routine and periodic tests and inspections for all elevator devices. NJEIA will be responsible for all elevator subcode duties, including plan reviews, fee calculations, and technical assistance to permit applicants. NJEIA will maintain a sufficient administrative staff to handle all scheduling, logs, forms, records, certificates and reports, as required.
Township participation
So while your township will be an essential partner, NJEIA will endeavor to keep any work load by township employees to a minimum, while at the same time keeping municipal officials fully informed at all times.
NJEIA will complete violation notices, and will prepare the billing paperwork. However, the UCC requires that the violation notices be released through the Construction Official’s office. Also, the law requires that the municipality be responsible for the collection of all fees and penalties.
As your elevator subcode partner, NJEIA will make it easy to add the revenue and get the work done.
